The "e" that I examined looked crisp and appeared to have clean lines, yet upon closer examination, was blurry and not at all solid. This just goes to show how much naked eye is able to detect without the use of a microscope.
The image above shows two hairs, one dark and one light (blond) at low power. The microscope is unable to focus on both hairs at once because they are both on slightly different dimensions.
The image above shows two hairs, one dark and one light (blond) at high power. The microscope is unable to focus on both hairs at once because they are both on slightly different dimensions, hence the dark hair's clarity and the blond hair's blurriness.
This image shows an onion cell, magnified at high power, and labeled. The cell appears to have three dimensions.
The image above is a more detailed, actual picture of an onion cell, magnified on high power.
This is a detailed image of my own cheek cells, magnified on high.
